Seize was brought up in Hackney East London, in the UK during the 70's and 80's and Seize is another real old timer that deserves big respect for being an early pioneer of the graffiti movement which created the foundations for the street art movement we enjoy today. The Art of Seize is heavily influenced by the colours and speed freak machinery of eighties. In the summer of 84, ‘Seize’ checked out Flatbush, Brooklyn. Where his cousin’s exposed his soul to the ‘galactic’ sounds of Electro. A fresh, innovative sound that was ‘going out,’ with the ‘underground artform’ known as ‘Graffiti’. Seize could feel that this art was shouting his name. Seize began to develop his own ‘original’ style of ‘burnin’. So began his ‘train journey’ as a hard-core ‘train bomber’. 1987 saw Seize linking up with West London’s finest, ‘the Mad Ethnikz crew’, (Hate, Demo, Foam, Coma and Skam). Together they got down to some serious spray-painting. Seize became one of only three writers too work alongside US artist ‘Tim Rollins’, on an exhibition held at the famous Riverside Studios. His reputation and recent works, continue to ‘kick’ the can further and keep the colourful Graff counter culture spirit of the eighties alive.
